I concentrate my criminal practice in misdemeanor defense, DUI defense, drug defense, and record expungements. With experience in both the public defender’s office and district attorney’s office, I have a well-rounded background in criminal law. I understand the arguments and strategies the prosecution will use against you and how best to defend against them.
If you have been arrested for drunk driving, it is important to have a knowledgeable attorney represent you. I will attack all facets of the prosecutions case, including: administration and validity of field sobriety tests, lack of probable cause, testing instrument problems, and any other evidence in your favor. You will also be insulated from court appearances and will have to appear as little as possible in person.
You have ten days to contact the DMV for an administrative hearing to receive a temporary driving permit. Failure to contact the DMV will result in a suspended license and waiver of the right to appeal the hearing. Additionally, if you do not take the breathalyzer test, your license will be automatically suspended for one year. However, it is possible in some cases to receive a restricted driver's license.
I also handle other DUI-related violations such as reckless driving, speeding, drag racing, and driving with suspended license.
I handle all aspects of criminal record expungements. If you are not facing any current charges, are not on probation for another offense, and your sentence did not involve state prison (as opposed to county jail), California law allows you to have your conviction expunged after you complete your probation. If you were not placed on probation, you can have your record expunged one year after your conviction. Successful record expungements allow you to honestly and legally say you have not been convicted of a crime. I can also help you reduce a prior felony to a misdemeanor. I will give your case my personal attention. Unlike a record expungement company, you know who will be working on your case when you hire me.
I concentrate my drug practice in misdemeanor possession, sale, manufacturing, distribution, and drug trafficking cases. It is important to have a balanced defense with an attorney who understands the process. From my experience working in the District Attorney’s office on drug cases, I understand what arguments and evidence the other side will be using against you, and how to defend against them.
I also work on other general misdemeanor crimes such as misdemeanor assault and battery cases and misdemeanor theft cases.
